What is so special about the National Geographic cellular service?
The National Geographic cellular service is intended for anyone who wants a no-nonsense, easy to us and easy to understand pay as you go cellular service. Rates are straightforward and affordable, especially for making international calls. Service is on the largest GSM network in the US including Hawaii. Customers pay no domestic roaming or long distance charges.

Does the service work outside of the United States?
The service is intended for use within the United States. However, if you do need cellular service while traveling overseas, please visit www.cellularabroad.com for information about the National Geographic Talk Abroad Travel Phone.

Is there a contract?
There is no contract or limits on usage. Talk all you like. When your balance is low, simply recharge your account with additional minutes at a participating wireless store or retail location or online at www.natgeophone.com

How do I add talk time to my service?
When your available minutes run low, you will receive an alert on your phone. You can also check your credit at any time directly on your handset. You can recharge with any major credit, prepaid or debit card at 1-877-NAT-GEO1 or in person at any participating retail location around the country.

What is the difference between the MOTORAZR V3 and Motorola C139?
The V3 has National Geographic embedded wall paper of animals and locations and corresponding or themed ring tones. For example, if you set the phone to have a background image of an animal, you will have the corresponding ring tone of the sound the animal makes. Also, since the handset is unlocked and quad band, you can put any other SIM card in it for use worldwide. The Motorola C139 is an entry level handset and ideal for those who simply want to make and receive calls at low rates.
